Created Prototype of Daily Review
I had some extra time today, so I whipped up a prototype of the Daily Review Card. There are still some kinks that need to be worked out later, but it’s a start.
As you can see, I’ve been using my Daily Plan Cards and it’s been working out so far. I’ve also been trying to figure out what should go on a daily review card and have been writing stuff on the back.
This is the format I’ve worked out so far:
- Score: How did my day go from 1-5? This records my general impression of how my day went. It may be useful later to figure out exactly what I mean by good days and bad days
- Top 5 Events: I actually really like this section. It’s like a twitter-diary mashup. I record the most significant things that happened to me during the day and can mark if it was positive (+) or negative (-). This gives me a quick synopsis of what happened in the day that mattered to me.
- Changes to Plan: I still haven’t really fleshed this one out yet. My idea is that if I deviate from my original plan (either do something unexpected or don’t do something expected), then I can explain what happened. I also wanted to use this space to record any life-lessons I learned.
- Outlook for Tomorrow: This is to get me thinking about tomorrow. Am I looking forward to it? This section is probably going to need revision as well.
That’s my prototype of a Daily Review. I’ve printed out 7 of these to try out in conjunction with my Daily Planning.
